Isn't she clever?

Tatum had a fun little birdhouse to paint, when I walked inside for a minute I returned to find this. She had hung her birdhouse on the shovel so that she could paint the bottom. So clever.

Slid tackles, not quite.

I know she is only 3, but you have got to start them young. So cute and so funny. Think beehive soccer with lots of meltdowns. I loved it. Tatum loved seeing Will and Johnny, her friends from pre-school. It took her a few weeks but she finally got into it. The mini- season ended with a "World Cup," I think it was a 15 minute game, Tatum had her head in her hands freaked out when all the kids came running toward her, but she caught on and just couldn't wait for the game to end. She was looking forward to the medal and cupcake they were all promised.

Sometimes a little distracted, in her own little la-la land. Yes, this is during the game.

I hope the magic never fades!!!

Tatum's first time on Storybook Land Boatsand she got to be the co-captain.
She was so proud.

Lincoln was either CONFUSED or JEALOUS of the whole situation.

Busy-body

Just 'working' on the garden. If the garden lives through the kids 'helping' it will be a small miracle.

Seriously, this girl loves books.
She loves to be read to , but lately she has been 'reading' to herself and Lincoln. I love it.
She starts every page " Once upon a time," and ends every story with "Happily ever after!"

I love my little headstrong Tatum Sue!

Pirate and Princesses
Pirates, princesses, treasure maps, food, cupcakes, singing, crafting, games, recess and of course treasure.

Pirate Tatum and Pirate Pluto

The kids were encouraged to dress-up for the party and I don't find it hard to believe that Tatum was the only girl pirate. She assured me she was a nice girl pirate, but a pirate nonetheless. The night before school we had her Sleeping Beauty dress-up all laid out and ready to go but the morning of school, there was no question she wanted to be a pirate. Her Halloween costume was too tight so we borrowed a few pirate accessories from Linc's costume and put together an outfit. I thought for sure we would have a melt-down as soon as we got to school andshe saw all the girls in their princess dresses. No Tatum tantrum. She reveled in he pirate attire.

They played dungeon on the playset and locked each other up.

Doing the Pirate Boogie

The race for the treasure is on

1. Crossed Swords

2. Palm Trees

3. Mountains
4. X marks the spot
TREASURE!

Enjoying lunch

Finger-lickin' good!
I love when Mrs. Morales does this. She lines the kids up and they run to the fence, to get the extra wiggles out before we go home!

Tooth Bugs

The tooth fairy came to visit Tatum's class, to teach the children about proper dental hygiene (and promote the local pediatric dentist). The kids were captivated (or maybe scared, look at those demon eyes) with her giant toothbrush and flannel board depiction of good teeth gone bad.

The yellow tulle on the giant flannel tooth is otherwise known as plaque.
